Publisher's Summary

Picking up after the explosive events of Shallow Water, Dark Tide is a twisting tale of deception, lies, and murder in the isolated, rugged town of Pt. Redwood on California's Mendocino Coast.

Clara thought her life would go back to normal after the events in the lighthouse. Reconnected with her teenage love, Sean, and settled into a life back in her hometown of Pt. Redwood, things aren't exactly the peaceful existence she'd hoped for. The people of Pt. Redwood have long memories and her bad-seed childhood reputation still follows her. Not everyone is convinced what happened in the lighthouse went down the way Clara claims.

When a counter tale emerges accusing Clara of lying about what happened, the local police open an investigation, putting her in the hot seat once again. It's her word against the local cops and she's being tried in the court of public opinion. When yet another body washes up and the evidence points to Clara's involvement, she and Sean find themselves in the center of yet another heated investigation.
