Publisher's Summary

The sequel to The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters is now available to download, unabridged, on audio.

Percy Jackson has had a quiet year. Not a single monster has set foot in his New York school. But when a game of dodgeball turns into a death match against an ugly gang of cannibal giants, things get . . . well, ugly.

And then Percy's friend Annabeth brings more bad news: the magical borders that protect Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned, and the only safe haven for young demigods is under threat.

To save their camp, Percy and his friends must embark on a quest that will take them into the treacherous Sea of Monsters and a desperate fight for their lives . . .

Spot on

The Sea of Monsters is phenomenal ending on one great cliffhanger. Plus the balance between Greek mythology and todays society is still spot on. Jesse Bernstein is still doing an awesome performance as narrator.

Imaginative and Clever

I admire the amount of research into Greek mythology used to create such a brilliant world so full of adventures.

This narrator is abysmal

The story is great but I came so close to turning this off because the narrator is unbelievably annoying. His inflections are all off, leaving sentences hanging in midair like a question for no good reason. His falsetto voice he uses for every female character is also grating. I'd definitely vote you buy the book, and skip this torture!!

Good book, shame about the reader...

A great children's story - I like how it weaves a modern story in with elements of Ancient Greek Mythology. The main character can be painfully obtuse at times but you don't really mind that too much.

I have to say the my only gripe is the person reading it. Maybe it's me but he seems to be awful at putting expression in to dialogue and given that this story is written in the first person it can make it difficult to enjoy.

Still, once you do get past the narrator it's still a good yarn.

Gooooood

I liked the idea of the book and when I read it I thought it was brilliant. This version unfortunately wasn't as good but is still very likeable and fun to listen too.
