Great end to an excellent series

This book was one of the most exciting of the series as it tied up many loose ends and ended with a Bang. This series is one that I would not mind sharing with my children as they get older. The audio presenter changed from the first half to the second half of the audio books. I preferred the first audio presenter over the presenter in the latter half of the series. Over all, an excellent book and I couldn’t put it down.

Tidy wrap up

Satisfying resolution of everyone's predicament. Charlie may be too young to get the girl, but he does get a brother. One may wonder if Grandma will make a reprisal. One might also wonder what would have happened if there were fewer convenient encounters. I like how the children are key to saving the city/universe while allowing the parents to make some contribution. The series really ought to be a movie trilogy - have I missed it?

Very good

This was good but the ending was a bit of a letdown, however, the action within the book was good. I really enjoyed the book. Highly recommend the series even if the narrator is changed midstream.

Enjoyable series. Nice finale book

This last book in the series was well done. Even as an over 50 adult I looked forward to the escapades of the characters in this story. The best part about it was that knowing I can offer this series to children. It’s not as dark as Harry Potter and it’s just as enjoyable. I will listen to this again and no doubt enjoy it almost as much the 2nd and 3rd time around.

Some of the details are washed away..

There are a lot of dropped details I this and book seven. The change in narrator after book 4 made it difficult to follow.

Fantastic

Loved it... Thoroughly love this series and it's characters. Better than Harry Potter. My 10 year son loved it also.

Was expecting a bit more.

I was enjoying this series up until this book. Don't get me wrong, it is okay or rather acceptable, but it wasn't what I was expecting or how I was expecting it to end....that is if this is the end. Who knows?

For me the story was developing, but then some of the scenes were just over and done with without much depth to it as if the author was just rushing to finish it without putting more into it. Not very much struggling for Charlie as there had been in the past books.

Just my opinion. It's adequate but not quite the 5 stars I've given the other books. If you want closure for the storyline, it's a must get though but don't expect too much.

Phenomenally narrated but "meh" story

Really enjoyed the characters and setting but the story was far too basic. The conflict was always 1 dimensional and people are evil for the sake of being evil, throughout the whole series. There is so much potential that it's pretty disappointing to have ended the way it did not with a bang but with a whimper. It almost felt as if the author had lost interest in the original story.

The American Version

This is the American version of the text, which is a bit jarring. The narrator struggles to pronounce ‘Idith’ and ‘Inez’ correctly, and presumably inhales helium when speaking as a female character.
