Craig Alanson has created the most brilliant series and this book is another great listen. Can't wait for tomorrow when the next book comes out. I am going to be so lost when this series comes to an end - I think there might be 3 books remaining.


You might notice that I seem to only ever give 4 or 5 star reviews. It is not that I am overly generous . There are many books that I have listened to that I have not particularly liked - I just don't write a review for those books.

If you haven’t meet Skippy and his barrel of monkeys you have to get into this series! Another great book the developing story keeps me hooked at every wormhole and as always the narration really brings the characters to life.

I was originally upset because I thought this book was going to be the last in the series but I was overwhelmed with joy that there is more. I loved every minute of this book. Tying all the characters together was interesting and it just worked well. Sucks we gotta wait so long for the next one now.

There’s a lot of other stuff falling by the wayside but i must admit i’m still enjoying this series and the way it’s read and presented. There are so many arcs available and real world questions that come to front case in point - proxy warfare in modern times and whether it requires a non-aligned third party to challenge the entrenched cyclical stalemate of attack and retribution drive by self serving nationalistic ideologies employed by leaderships to maintain power.
