About this listen

Disaster.

There was no other word to describe how Operation Olympic had changed in a flash from a triumph to the worst failure the Merry Band of Pirates had ever experienced. A failure that meant the fight was over. Unless the Pirates could perform a miracle, without Skippy.

The Expeditionary Force saga continues with Gateway from epic sci-fi writer Craig Alanson and narrated by none other than R.C. Bray.

It was thoroughly enjoyable getting back into the ongoing adventures with all the great characters. As usual RC Bray was brilliant in his narration.

To the whole team, absolutely awesome job well done. After 19 books still having me hanging out to every word. Love the story and of course RCB still smashing it even with his dicky throat. I never want it to end. Can’t wait to hear what happens next

Love this series

I absolutely love this series, it sits in the top place shared with the lost fleet series, however each book is too similar to the last, it becomes predictable and the mystery is gone. We used to wonder who the elders were, when earth would be discovered, what the sentinels would do, how would the Maxholx react, etc - we've lost that since the outsider was revealed. Too often I sat here thinking the characters should've realised x, y and z an hour ago, of course it was a trap, and I never felt surprised, this series is loosing it's essence.

I love this story and the universe, but it's time for it to come to an end not so drawn out, and set it up for a distant sequel.

Great continuation, too drawn out.

Craig, man where do you get the inspiration? l was laughing my guts out and wishing l was part of the crew trying to slow Skippy down. But to drop the bombshell at the end- No more Sunday lunches for you! Please get the next book done!

Holy cow! What a Ride.

After 19 books I’m still hanging onto every word, gasping at every turn and 100% on the edge of my seat every time the general has an idea.

Only downside is waiting for the next book. I need a wormhole network to jump forward in time.

Amazing! Yet again!
