Publisher's Summary

Nine-year-old Layla is caught in the middle. With her parents in turmoil and at the brink of divorce, Layla’s only wish is to keep her parents together. A stargazer at heart, Layla is sending her wish to the nearest falling star, but the star she wishes upon is no ordinary star.

Layla discovers a tiny alien spacecraft with four little aliens that stand only 10 inches high each. Their mission is to hunt down and capture a deadly alien creature known as the Ishyka. A creature that not only has the ability to consume electricity, but has also just escaped from a secure penal colony deep in space.

The only way to stop the Ishyka from destroying planets is by using a mental brain lock to render it asleep. Layla hides her newfound alien friends from everyone, only entrusting her best friend, Carmen, to help them on their quest to save planet Earth from being consumed by the Ishyka.

A "pinky promise" seals the pact as Layla tries to avoid making their little secret into a big ordeal.
