The locals trusted her presence because she protected them from the shadows that prowled the edge of the forest, even though no one had ever seen her. One evening, as the sun was setting and the sky was becoming orange and purple, a little boy called Finn ventured too far from home. The stories about Liora had always fascinated him, and he wanted to know whether she was real.
