Nestled deep among the Whispering Woods, Eldermere was a secluded town where the trees swayed gently and fireflies glowed like little lights. This hamlet was protected by an old guardian, a monster known simply as Liora, in contrast to others. Under the moon, some said, she was a magnificent owl with feathers that shone like silver. Others said that she was a ghost that appeared as a dazzling mist that led the woodland. The village's young children were raised on tales about Liora. It was said that if someone was lost or in need, a calming voice would guide them home over the woods.
