Perhaps my favourite Heyer story. A delicious tangle of misunderstandings and meddlings which sort themselves out in the end!

Another brilliant Heyer let down by average narration. Such a shame. The previous version was miles ahead of this one!

New narrator not great

This was a little more tedious in terms of GH's books that I have enjoyed in the past. While it was narrated quite ably it didn't really pull it up into a 4 star read for me. It lacked the humour I found in other books by herself. It centred around a debt that one young woman was too scared to tell her husband about and the means she goes to to try and get the debt sorted. And then Letty the half sister wanting to be married at 17. It all ends nicely but in a meh kind of way.

The storyline of April Lady is fairly dull compared to many other Georgette Heyer novels, and the reader's performance is mediocre. At least the ending is satisfying though.
