Publisher's Summary

If there is one thing Constance Hawkins is good at, it's working hard.

Her dad was in a car accident that paralyzed his legs, and her sister Charley is in her sophomore year of college. With her mother not in the picture, Constance started working to help her family at a young age. Now, at twenty-six years old, she has a good job working at a bank. Until her awful boss, Sandy, decides to let Constance go because of cutbacks.

With her personal responsibilities and her family's, it wasn't the best time to be without a job, but it was out of her hands. While on the hunt, a woman named Madelyn approaches Constance about possibly working at Yoshida Enterprise—a gigantic corporation that owns just about everything in Michigan and beyond. Constance is intrigued, but she has no idea that a simple yes will turn her life in all different directions.

Lee Yoshida is the future CEO mogul of Yoshida Enterprise. It's his birthright as the eldest son. He was raised to embody their family business. His parent's harsh, tough love exterior has made Lee into the stern, cold-hearted, and closed-off man he is today.

The world was in the palm of his hands, and it rotated the way he seemed fit. There was nothing too far from his reach. If he wanted it, then it was his. Until he met Constance, the one person who didn't bow down to him because of who he was.

Charley Hawkins is Constance's twenty-year-old sister. Her spirit is as bright as her love for dance. A dance major in college, Charley is living her best life with great friends and a good-looking boyfriend named Joshua. From the outside, she has it all, but truthfully, Charley wants her dancing career to pay off big time so she can help her family. Also, things with her boyfriend, Joshua, are sort of foggy. Two women are threatening their relationship: Joshua's mother and his ex-girlfriend Amelia.

Jackie Yoshida is mouthwatering. He's twenty and a talented painter. Jackie speaks his mind and marches to the beat of his own drum, no matter who has a problem with his decisions, including his controlling parents. They think being an artist is a waste of time. Jackie is supposed to be working at Yoshida Enterprise.

All Jackie wants is to have his art grace the walls of the best museums and galleries. He wants these things by working hard, not because of his last name. Unknown to him, he was about to meet his next muse when he came across Charley. Immediately, Jackie finds himself wanting her. But with her having a boyfriend and Jackie having Sanjay, a girl who has his parents' approval, getting Charley won't be so easy.

How desperate will Jackie's parents get to be in control of his life? How will that affect his art and his new feelings for Charley? Can Charley remain faithful to her boyfriend Joshua, or is Jackie too hard to resist?

With Lee's pride and Constance not caring if she crushes it, how will the two of them coexist working together? Which one of them will realize all the tension is underlined with desire and lust?

Family obligations, secrets, cheating, pride, and betrayal are just the start of the first installment of this three-part series.
