John Grisham
Grisham’s first novel, A Time to Kill, was published in 1988. Since then Grisham’s popular novels have sold more than 275 million copies worldwide. Discover where it all began for the prolific crime writer – listen to the A Time to Kill audiobook, narrated by Michael Beck.
Before he began writing novels, Grisham worked as a lawyer and served as a state politician for a time in Mississippi. The influence of this experience is evident in the crime fiction and legal thrillers for which Grisham is renowned.
A number of Grisham’s popular novels have been adapted for film – including his 1991 best-seller, The Firm, which became a movie starring Tom Cruise in 1993.
