Sherrie is faced with blatant prejudice. She has always been different from her classmates as the first black gifted student in her elementary school, in fact, in the district, but her classmates have never approached her and told her she was out of place before.

Sherrie is expecting an amazing blessing this Christmas, but comes with a commitment requirement. As she anticipates her new blessing she must commit to surrendering some of her wants to make room for the wants of her blessing.

Alma has had an accident and she is not healthy enough to care for Sherrie this summer. Sherrie is devastated that she will not get her quality time with her beloved grandmother.

Sherrie is back in Miami from her vacation with Grandma Alma and ready to save the world! How can a child in Elementary save the world… One friend at a time in Sherrie’s mind.
