About this listen

In the last adventure of this children's series, Sherrie is faced with blatant prejudice. She has always been different from her classmates as the first black gifted student in her elementary school, in fact, in the district, but her classmates have never approached her and told her she was out of place before.

One of the crew members, Seth, of the Jewish faith, invites Sherrie to his sister's Bar Mitzvah. Though she is not the only non-Jewish attendee, her schoolmates have no problem telling her she should not be participating in the event because she is not Jewish. As they all were not Jewish, she knew they meant she was black.

Instead of becoming angry and responding negatively, Sherrie uses her amazingly magnetic personality to attract her doubters with kindness. It is easy to lash out and fight back enraged by disrespect, but it takes a individual of good character to submit to kindness and use it as a means of justice. Join her on one more adventure to see if she can change hearts with the right amount of KINDNESS!
