My name is Ranger Bill. I am a late (late) 60's White Male. I technically have a 10th grade education although I received a GED in the Service and have sat through an overload of training courses in both the USN and the USDA FS. I have been very Happily Married (to the same woman) for the last 45 years. I have lead a very interesting life beginning with a not so normal childhood which is outlined in Book 1 of the Lessons Learned series "Five Years" which has just been published. Book number 2 "Growing Up" is in the hands of my more than capable Publisher "Lemon Press Publishing" and hopefully soon will hit the streets. It describes my Life of joining our US Military at a very young age and the half a dozen years following, my Marriage to the Love of My Life, my struggle to overcome the transition of Sailor to Veteran, my involvement with a life style full of violence and drugs and my fractional victory in all of these obstacles in this existence. I am about a third of the way through my third Book "The Seven Year Adventure" that describes our (My Wife, 2 Children and I) Lives living on the Road across all of America in first a VW Bug and a Tent, then a Chevy Van and finally a beat up old Pick-up truck with a Camper on the back. I must tell you that I am a very slow writer (typer?) as when I went to school only girls took typing class. My right hand is keys and my left hand is CAPS so all of this takes a great deal of time. My fourth and fifth books are still inside my head both un-named. Number 4 will be about my 28 year Career in the USDA Forest Service. Half out West with primary duties in Fire Fighting and secondary duties in Silvaculture, Timber and Wildlife and the second half of this vocation in the Forests of the East as a live on location Site Manager with duties in Recreation Management and Law Enforcement. Book number five (where we are in time as of this writing) will detail our Life after retirement and our involvement in the support of various Veteran Organizations including the American Legion and American Legion Riders. Book number 6 is in the Future and I have no idea what my life will have evolved into by then. I am currently (and God Willing) a Husband of 1, a Father of 3, a Grandfather of 9 and a Great Grandfather of 3. My motto in life is Live/Ride Proud. Ranger Bill
