Gerard O’Donovan is an Irish journalist and thriller writer, well known as a TV critic for The Daily Telegraph. Shortlisted for a Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger award, his debut novel THE PRIEST, featuring cop Mike Mulcahy and reporter Siobhan Fallon was published internationally in 2010. DUBLIN DEAD followed in 2012. Inspired by a fascination for silent-era Hollywood THE LONG SILENCE is set in 1920s Los Angeles. Exploring the unsolved murder of movie director William Desmond Taylor in 1922, it introduces intrepid Irish private eye Tom Collins and his roller-coaster investigations into the real-life scandals that racked the early movie colony. THE DOOM LIST continues Tom Collins's nail-biting adventures as he becomes embroiled in blackmail and the complicated love lives of three of the silent era's most colourful characters – director Rex Ingram, matinee idol Ramon Novarro and screen "vamp" Barbara La Marr – with deadly consequences.
