The title of my book, "Onora Tua Madre," is an Italian phrase that translates to "Honor Thy Mother." This book is dedicated to the bravest woman I have ever known, my mother, Celestina. The story begins with a beautiful young girl navigating the streets of war-torn Italy.

It's hard to explain the feelings you have when you have to stand back helpless, knowing that someone you love is suffering from a terminal illness. In my case, it was my soulmate, my wife of thirty-three years. The dreaded Cancer word snuck up on us and there was nothing I could do to help her.
