The Game of Gods

Contains books 1 and 2 of The Game of Gods series. The Beginning, book 1: The gods have gotten bored, and humanity is the answer. Charles earns the ultimate surprise one morning when he awakens to discover the world has ended, or rather the gods of old were bored and decided to redesign how it worked. Only Charles gets cursed by the gods. The Death of Champions, book 2: The gods have begun to change Earth, leaving humanity confused and desperate. Charles and Alli have managed to survive the first week of the apocalypse; unfortunately for them, it isn't over yet.

Things have begun to go awry for the gods of Earth. Control of the game they started is quickly leaving their grasp.

Charles and Kira have rescued Alli from the Goddess Alaria and returned to Earth with news of an impending threat. At home, the lack of significant progress on his quest to create more towns is keeping him and Charlotte from searching for their parents. It’s time to change that. A goal Charles and his sister Charlotte have been working toward for months is nearing completion, and with it, they will gain access to the rest of the world. The gods had their chance, and then Gaia took it from them. Earth is hers to control, and it’s time to let the humans know it.

Charles is reaching the end of his rope. The things he has seen have nearly become too much. He never signed up to be a hero. It was never a burden he wanted. Only his burgeoning family has kept him going for this long, but now even Gaia needs his help. The system the Gods created for their game is on the brink of collapse. There have been too many people and events that they never accounted for since it began, each one causing cascading errors. The biggest two being Charles and his sister Charlotte.
