An unknown virus sweeps across the globe seemingly overnight. The virus decimates the human population while mutating some into grotesque mutants. Dillon Thompson awakens to the dawn of a newer, more violent world. He must navigate the dangers of this new world along with local gang leaders turned warlords. Dillon is forced to fight for his life to entertain others. The rest of the group stumbles through life without Dillon there to protect them. Sonia and Frank grow closer with every passing day. Alex tries to persuade Dillon into joining him, and the promise of freedom and information make for a tempting offer. 

Liz, Frank, and Sonia arrive at Dillon’s island in the Florida Keys. They’re welcomed by Rell, Dillon’s close friend and caretaker of the island. Shaken up by the loss of Jill and Dillon, they are ill-prepared for the looming threat of Summerfield. This sinister corporation provokes them into an all-out war.
