Getting Legless is the memoir by Jared Hughes, who was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease in 2021. As he was getting used to his new life on dialysis and the prospect of having a kidney transplant, his life was further turned upside down when he discovered that he had arterial disease which had been caused by his kidney disease being undiagnosed for so long. This resulted in Jared losing both of his legs.
