It's New Year's Eve, and the world is about to change. Forever. Out of nowhere, a catastrophic EMP event cripples the nation's power supply. Cars spiral off the streets. Planes hurtle from the skies. And in the powerless confusion, it doesn't take long for terrified survivors to resort to violence. Max is working as a security guard in the city center when the power goes out. On New Year's Eve, a devastating EMP ripped across the nation, leaving society in ruin. There are no signs of hope. There are no signs of rescue. Only chaos. Max and Aoife are living in the countryside, far away from society. Self-sustainability is the goal. But supplies are already running low. And when Max falls desperately ill, it soon falls on Aoife to take a dangerous trip into town to get him the medical supplies he needs.

When an ominous warning spreads across the nation about a catastrophic solar storm, panic ignites. Within days, everything that depends on power will be gone. Lily has already lost once. Haunted by anxiety and tragedy, she’s barely holding her life together when the announcement hits. Her son, Alex, is miles away from home on a school trip—and as the countdown to impact begins, she faces an impossible journey through a country descending into chaos.
