Remley buys a car for $300; and what a car!

Phil discovers that little Alice and Phyllis have lost a library book and have been suspended from school. Phil Harris, Elliott Lewis, Jeanine Roos, Walter Tetley, Robert North, Anne Whitfield, Frank Nelson.

Alice is collecting money for the March of Dimes. Phil and Remley decide to help get contributions.

When Mr. Scott, needs last minute entertainment for his daughter's birthday party, Phil promises to get a print of Cinderella from Walt Disney. Disney turns him down, but Phil is undaunted. He decides to create his own version of the story!

Phil tries to get an extra two tickets to South Pacific. No easy task!

A woebegone old car, a harried department store clerk, a monosyllabic man in a sombrero, and a train announcer whose line ran somewhere between Orange County and the Twilight Zone are all memorable characters from The Jack Benny Program, and all the products of a single talented throat: Mel Blanc. "The Man of a Thousand Voices" was Carmichael the Polar Bear, who lived improbably in Jack's cellar.

Phil's back after a five-and-a-half week Canadian fishing trip with his buddies. He's happy to be home, but disappointed at the reception he receives from Alice, the girls, and Remley.
