Based on a 1796 Scottish ballad, this is a retelling of the tale of a Scottish lord’s son, Tam Lin, who becomes abducted by the fairy queen Morgann while hunting. When Tarius is mortally wounded by Tajincour, son of the God of Darkness, Nefarion, neither Mendina’s kiss of love nor her unicorn horn are able to heal him, and Tarius dies.
