Joining us at Audible Studios is household name thanks to Channel 4's Gogglebox, June Bernicoff. June, alongside her husband, Leon, joined Gogglebox from its very first season in 2013, until 2017. Unfortunately, after a short illness and complications, Leon passed away just before Christmas in 2017. After his passing, June decided that she couldn't return to Gogglebox alone. She appeared on the show as a partnership: Leon and June. She couldn't face appearing as just June. Instead, she took the opportunity to tell the story of Leon and June.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Damian Barr, British writer, columnist and playwright, who released his novel, You Will Be Safe Here, in 2019. Barr was born in Scotland and attended Lancaster University. Barr's first article ran in The Guardian in 1996, and since then he has written for titles such as The Sunday Times and Big Issue. Barr's first book was published in 2006 and was the first book to focus on the quarter-life crisis in the UK, titled Get It Together: How to Survive Your Quarterlife Crisis.

Lupton studied literature at Cambridge University, graduating in 1986. After graduating, she wrote for Literary Reviews and was invited to join the Royal Court Theatre. During this time, Lupton won a television play competition and earned herself a job as a screenwriter. While her husband, a doctor, was working all hours, Lupton decided that as an author she could write around her kids being at school. So, after much work, her first novel, Sister, was published. We chatted to Rosamund Lupton about her career as a writer and author and how she creates such thrilling reads.

Joining us at Audible Studios is the author of the Sunday Times best-selling debut novel The Trouble with Goats and Sheep, Joanna Cannon. She has recently released Breaking and Mending, a memoir of her life as a junior doctor. Cannon walks us through the wards, from attending her first postmortem to sitting beside a patient as they passed away. The small acts of kindness and connection that intersperse hospital life taught Cannon that the heartbeat is not the only essential part of a human being - emotional care and mental health are also critical.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his narration of the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist is Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce. Dickens' second published novel, Oliver Twist, has been adapted numerous times. Following orphan Oliver from the workhouse to the streets of London, he meets a pickpocket known as the Artful Dodger, who offers him shelter. There we meet Fagin, Nancy and Bill Sikes. Oliver’s innocence is tested as he witnesses the darker side of London.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Anne Griffin, debut author of the next great Irish novel, When All Is Said. Griffin’s novel depicts an Irish farmer who orders five drinks over the course of one night to toast each of the five most important people in his life. His life is laid bare, in its loves and feuds, regrets and triumphs, all through the five people who have left him behind. We spoke about her inspiration for the book, her literary career so far and what her plans are for the future.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss her first book, When the Dogs Don't Bark, is forensic scientist Professor Angela Gallop. Angela also talks to us about the importance of advancements in forensic technology, her own intriguing career, including her involvement in many high-profile criminal cases, and the recent trend for professional memoirs.

After studying Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, Stacey worked as an assistant editor at We Love This Book magazine and a media editor at the Bookseller magazine, as well as writing for Psychologies, The Independent, and Fabulous magazine, where she is now Deputy Chief Sub-Editor. Alongside editorial work, Stacey has written her first novel, an exciting historical fiction set within the drama of the 1612 Pendle witch trials.

Angela tells us how she came up for the idea, a bit about her protagonist, Jenna, and the importance of her fanbase.
