Pubblicato a puntate tra il 1881 e il 1883, il massimo capolavoro italiano per ragazzi, il "Pinocchio: di Collodi, vede la luce in volume nel 1883, conseguendo un successo planetario. La "Storia di un burattino" è qui narrata con accento toscano (cosa che avrebbe fatto piacere allo stesso autore) e con viva partecipazione emotiva. Un classico per ragazzi che non delude mai, e che ci riporta alla mente personaggi indimenticabili, dal babbo Geppetto alla Fata dai capelli turchini, da Mangiafuoco al Gatto e la volpe.

Il falegname toscano Geppetto crea un burattino vivente a partire da un ceppo di legno parlante e lo chiama Pinocchio. Il ragazzo non si comporta bene: non ascolta mai il padre, non mantiene mai le promesse e continua a mettersi nei guai. Insegue solo piacere e deve imparare a pensare agli altri, se vuole diventare una persona in carne e ossa. "Le avventure di Pinocchio" sono, ad oggi, il romanzo italiano più venduto di sempre.

Debido a la soledad y de los deseos de ser padre, el carpintero Geppetto decide tallar su propio hijo de madera. Antes de terminar el pequeño marioneta cobra vida y Geppetto decide llamarlo Pinocho. Pinocho suele ser un niño travesío y bastante desobediente, y pronto se afronta por primera vez, un mundo lleno de vicios y mentiras. Dilemas morales, perdidas económicas y un fuerte rechazo social son unos de los problemas que hacen cambiar su perspectiva sobre la vida.

La historia de Pinocho es un cuento de hadas, magia y animales monstruosos, que al mismo tiempo toca los dilemas cotidianos del ser humano, como la necesidad de encajar en donde no perteneces y lo importante que es ser honesto con las personas que te quieren y te rodean.
