They think we’re beaten. They’re so wrong. I am Captain Taylor Ray. Morgan will be tested like never before, in his final bid to free the planet of the chaotic influences that threaten to destroy it. Will he prove, once and for all, that he is truly Omniscient? With the weapon he needs to destroy the gods now in his possession, Morgan sets off for Faeland once again. However, this time, he does not go alone. Representatives of each kingdom join him, in an attempt to scout the area and collect the ingredients needed to replicate Ivaldi's formula. As soon as he departs, Katherine receives an urgent summons from Hu Kiln, king of the West Kingdom.

In this fifth and final book in the series, Dex and Frida dive back into OVERTAKEN ONLINE, after a month out in the real world. They are met by a realm in shambles. Frequent tornadoes plague the planet, leaving destruction in their wake; the daemonorgs are amping up the pressure after the loss of the Colossus; and decisions made by Commander Darius while Dex was away have massively derailed their chances of winning the war.

Sam is back and better than ever! Just kidding. His life still sucks. Dragged into the video-game-like world of Somerset, he is constantly having his patience and sanity tested by the world's sheer tropiness and unoriginality. Like, for example, how Princess Willow of the East was kidnapped just a few hours after asking for his help in saving her kingdom. Or, how seemingly no one, including the all-powerful Adventurers Guild, can do anything about it.
