The Progenitors’ plan is revealed, but stopping them means piercing the veil of Shadow Space.
Finally possessing the ability to enter the Progenitors’ shadow realm, Commander Reeves and Major Kane embark on a daring mission into the heart of enemy territory.
However, en route they must detour to the Quarr planet of Vroxxa, which is under Sa’Nerran occupation. There they will learn the true horrific purpose of the "atmosphere acclimators" the aliens have installed on dozens of worlds. Meanwhile, the enhanced neural technology that Reeves and Kane now share provides a glimpse into the future, as well as the past. Reeves will learn that as well as inheriting the darkness from his Omega Taskforce ancestors, he also inherited their humanity.
