The rest of the narrative pits the warrior skills and state-of-the-art special-ops technology of Riley and his men against two groups of professional killers.

The Time Patrol must send an agent back to each day, with just 24 hours for each to defeat the Shadow's plan to disrupt our time line, creating a time tsunami and wiping our present out.

Six Time Patrol agents are sent to the same day, February 14, in six different years to keep our history and our time line from being destroyed. The mission, as always for the Time Patrol, seems straightforward: keep history intact, no matter the cost.
