Dialogul Despre mânie aşează o oglindă în faţa omului mâniat şi-i arată chipul strâmb şi negru. Un chip care nu mai este al unui om. Ca să nu te pierzi în acest război cu tine însuţi, învaţă să nu-l începi. Este în puterea ta, pentru că "mânia nu îndrăzneşte nimic singură, ci doar cu acordul sufletului".

Während der ältliche Theodoros für den Erkenntnisgang des Dialogs eher die Rolle des Mitunterredners einnimmt, rückt der noch junge und unerfahrene Theätet mehr und mehr ins Zentrum des Dialogs.

Sokrates befindet sich gerade auf dem Weg zur Akademie, als Hippothales ihn anhält und ihn bittet, mit ihm in die neu errichtete Palästra zu kommen, um nähere Bekanntschaft mit jenem Jüngling zu machen, in den er, Hippothales, ganz offenkundig schwer verliebt ist. Der Name des Jünglings: Lysis. Bereitwillig folgt Sokrates dem Verliebten und macht in der Palästra die Bekanntschaft mit eben jenem Lysis, aber zudem auch mit dessen Freund und Kameraden Menexenos.

Selten nur findet man Sokrates außerhalb der Stadtmauern Athens. Meistens findet man ihn angeregt diskutierend auf Markplätzen, in öffentlichen Gebäuden und in Privathäusern. Im Phaidros aber macht er einen mittäglichen Spaziergang mit eben jenem jungen Mann Phaidros an einem Flüsschen entlang hin zu einer Platane. Dort lassen sie sich nieder und, den Schatten und das laue Lüftchen in der Mittagshitze genießend, beginnen sie sich zu unterhalten.

Zufällig trifft Sokrates einen Freund auf der Straße. Ein Gespräch entspinnt sich, in dem Sokrates von seiner Begegnung mit dem weithin bekannten Sophisten Protagoras erzählt. So kurz der Handlungsrahmen wiederzugeben ist, so inhaltsreich das, was Platon in diesem frühen Dialog seinen Lesern zu bieten hat. Im Protagoras lässt Platon Sokrates sich erstmalig mit den Sophisten streiten. Überdeutlich tritt zutage, wo zwischen sokratischer Dialektik und sophistischem Denksport die Unterschiede liegen.

Critias o De La Atlántida es uno de los últimos diálogos de Platón. Parece ser una continuación de La República y el Timeo, es de carácter inconcluso y su contenido describe la guerra entre la Atenas prehelénica y la Atlántida, hipotético imperio occidental e isla misteriosa descrita por el sofista Critias. Éste sostiene que la Atlántida existió en una época muy remota, y la sitúa «más allá de las columnas de Heracles». Dicha isla mitológica fue tragada por el mar y se perdió para siempre.
