This summit was an epic, fun, connecting, and delightful one-day virtual event in celebration of International Women’s Day, March 8, 2022. At his school for disabled children, he's told he will be expelled if the rumours are true, if he's gay; at his mainstream school, teachers refuse to schedule his classes on the ground floor, and he loses a stone from the effort of getting up the stairs.

This is my story. After a lifetime of trying to help everyone else get their lives together, I have finally figured out how to get mine together. I am now 72 years old, semi-retired from a business I created to help young adults with autism function in the world. I live in Mexico with my loving partner. I have fulfilling relationships with my adult children and grandchildren.

In 2009 I lived in Highlands, North Carolina, before I became resolute to graduate or ever even started at Berea College. My internship with three other women, under the stewardship of a Unitarian nonprofit retreat center, was a time of questioning and growing more than any other time of my life. It also encouraged a raw, unique style of writing, influenced by the old-growth dwarf oak forest surrounding us and a certain Meditation Rock where we loved to sit and overlook the rolling mountain.
