Laura tritt endlich ihren neuen Job als Hoteldetektivin in der Vila Calma an! Um Laura mit ihrer neuen Heimat Portugal vertraut zu machen, schleppt Yogalehrerin Mariella sie auf eine Wanderung durch den wunderschönen Pinienwald von Colares. Doch auf dem Rückweg machen die beiden Frauen eine schreckliche Entdeckung: Der alte Simao sitzt tot auf einem Sessel mitten im Pinienwald! Neben dem Toten trauert dessen Hund Momo. Incidenten med stenarna skakar om Sofie och Ilse. Gabriella ser den som ett olycksbådande tecken och hon misstänker att Sofie undanhåller viktig information. När hon blir presenterad för Toms mamma och Sofies syster upptäcker hon att det finns spänningar mellan familjemedlemmarna.

Ett spår börjar ta form på samma gång som fler frågetecken uppstår. Varför reagerar Sofie och Ilse så undflyende varje gång hon nämner den mördade Therez?
