Brad is a paperboy who wants to be a rock star, so when he discovers the band Black Day playing in old Professor Hammer's garage, he really wants to join. The band's monsters have a different idea and send him away. ''No humans!'' Brad sets out to change their minds, but the monsters have bigger problems than finding a bass player.

Ever since Monster (who sleeps under the bed) and Boy (who sleeps in the bed) met and became best friends, they've been spending their days playing together. But some days, Boy leaves and Monster is alone. Wanting to learn more about where his friend goes, Monster makes a plan to go with Boy to...school! There, Monster meets Boy's teacher and classmates, learns about cubbies and the sharing circle, and even helps solve a mystery when a pet hedgehog goes missing.

A miscast spell has created a jungle of man-eating plants across the entire sports pitch at Rotwood Academy and the pupils are now forced to share a field with the only other local school - Primrose Towers. When the two rival schools compete on sports day, will the Rotwood monsters be able to beat the girls of Primrose Towers and Milly, Maud's annoyingly perfect twin? And how will Maud hide the truth about her mysterious new monster school?

Frankenstein isn't your typical monster. For starters, he only has one head, just two eyes, and no tail. And worst of all, he's sort of nice! Frankenstein quickly realizes his friendly behavior is out of place at the Valentine's Day Bash. There's one monster, though, who likes that Frankenstein is different. Can Frankenstein figure out the identity of his secret valentine? And can the other monsters finally accept Frankenstein for the monster that he is?
