• Thank You Fluoride!
    Sep 13 2025

Ever stared at a toothpaste tube and wondered if it could take you higher?

In episode 18 of Rabbit Hole, Billy Merritt and the BIT Comedy players tumble from dental conspiracies and Norwegian stop-motion cartoons to hoarding hotel soaps, prank-calling Captain Crunch, and even a pirate gang in juvie.

Along the way, fluoride turns into Flo Rida, the Soggies declare war, and toothpaste becomes the most questionable substance at the Cannabis Cup.

It's improv chaos at its finest: absurd connections, quick character swaps, and the kind of storytelling detours only this ensemble could conjure. From corporate "green peas" to Plato's cave, with a bit of toothpaste smoke in the air, this Rabbit Hole has it all.

    🚫 APOLOGIES:

Dentists everywhere. Captain Crunch, Admiral Crunch, and the entire Crunch Navy. The Soggies. Norwegian stop-motion animators of Carius and Bactus. Hotel housekeeping staff. Holiday Inn, Motel 6, and The Four Seasons. Johnson & Johnson (for refilling fancy bottles with baby shampoo). The Cannabis Cup. Plato and his cave dwellers. Crank Yankers (for name-dropping). Pirates everywhere, especially juvie pirates (for making you a support group). "Green peas" and corporate America. Anyone who's ever told a story too many times (we see you, Gerard).

rabbitHOLE is 100% unscripted and fueled by the BIT CREW's real-life flash memories.

  • Best of rabbitHOLE - Meet Sensei Ken
    Aug 13 2025

I asked the BIT Crew to nominate their favorite episodes for a special August replay while we are on hiatus.

I selected one of Thea's picks because it went back to season one - when we were all baby holers. She says, "Googlie Wooglie I like a lot because of Sensei Ken, the fun game with cool words, and just love Geoff's Keanu Reeves impersonation, and Keanu Reeves as Abraham Lincoln."

Episode Five has what I consider our best ending. We all break each other—even Billy Merritt. I dare you not to laugh.

We'll be back on September 13th with a brand new hole!

    ~~

In rabbitHOLE's fifth episode, the BIT CREW educates listeners about some critical issues, including:

    • Googlie Wooglie
    • Mc Dojo
    • Grammar Police

Konrad takes a deep dive into the origins of the term GOOGOL (a one with a hundred zeroes). He starts the BIT CREW off on an improv adventure of surf lingo, organized crime involving unsuspecting UK co-eds, "re-imagining" history, and mispronouncing words. Episode five has our favorite ending so far…we all just lost it – we hope you laugh so much your sides will ache, and your heart goes pitter-pat.

As always, rabbitHOLE is unscripted and inspired by the CREW's real-life rabbit hole adventures.

APOLOGIES: U.S. History (again), Felix the Cat, the Matrix franchise, McDonald's®, Keanu Reeves, Hippies, Japan, Karate, Jiu Jitsu, the FBI, Bert "The Machine" Kreishcer, cliques, Houghton & Mifflin, journalism, monks, legit dojos, and the witness protection program.

    🎙️ Rabbit Hole – Ep. 16
ONE HUNDRED Makes Me Think Of...

The BIT crew is back and climbing into a century-sized rabbit hole. Billy kicks things off with the word ONE HUNDRED, and what follows is a chain reaction of improv scenes, chaotic recollections, and middle school flash memories.

    💥 Highlights include:

    • The cold, hard truth: giving 110% is a lie

    • A rare "regular person" trading card convention

    • Designers vs. Accountants: Spreadsheets vs. Slides

    • MAC or PC—choose your allegiance

    • Konrad unearths traumatic tween tales, including a baseball card Ponzi scheme

    • A magician's "assistant" is sawed in half…and walks away

    rabbitHOLE showNOTES – Episode 15

Billy asked the BIT Crew to try a new opening for the 15th episode. You could say...we're going a little organic. Billy gives a one-word suggestion and the troupe plays a round of "that makes me think of" to generate scene ideas. We call it THAT MAKES ME THINK OF!

    SUPER FUN!

    Suggestion = BLEACH.

    🚫 APOLOGIES TO:

New Kids On The Block (NKOTB), the Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar, Michael Buble, Gallagher, therapists, Computer Programers, Wings, Antique Store Owners, The Seattle Mariners, Tardy People (sorry not sorry). This list may continue to grow.

  • Salon Breakups | Piñata Strategies | The Jumpy Poley Defense
    May 13 2025
    rabbitHOLE showNOTES – Episode 14

    🎧 This Week's HOLES:

    • Salon Breakups

    • Piñata Strategies

    • The Jumpy Poley Defense™

In this episode, Amber makes a compelling case: breaking up with your hair salon is basically ending a relationship — complete with emotional baggage and wildly inconsistent communication. She also lifts the lid on some outrageous salon screening processes. (Do you know how long it takes to cut your hair? Shouldn't they?)

From there, the BIT CREW naturally spirals into couples therapy for stylists and clients… and a few other unexpected pairings.

👊 Meanwhile, "Adult Piñata" is officially an Olympic sport now (we decided), sparking heated discussion about:

    • Childhood candy rivalries
    • Dangerous playground games
    • Alt-piñata materials
    • And whether judges should be allowed to jump on defendants (spoiler: no)

💥 By the end, you may find yourself asking:

    • What other childhood activities deserve Olympic recognition?
    • Could postal-carrier therapy save America?
    • And seriously… how did you survive elementary school?
    🚫 APOLOGIES TO:

The entire D.C. salon scene, Olympic organizers (again), stylists who don't name-drop, Piñatas, Bazookas, Machetes, bankers, therapists... you get the idea.

rabbitHOLE is 100% unscripted and fueled by the BIT CREW's real-life internet spirals, nostalgic chaos, and shared trauma. If you enjoy the show, do your part:

  • Philosopher SmackDown | Terms of Art | Patrick Swayze
    Apr 13 2025

WOW! This is our lucky 13th Episode of rabbitHOLE.

    Today's Holes:

    • Philosopher Smackdown
    • Terms of Art
    • Patrick Swayze

Flannery explains why analytic philosophers rule and post-structuralism is B.S. Some of them even make cameos.

By the end of the episode, you may wonder if time exists, what's real, if there is beauty, and why is there so much "accidental" wetness in romcoms?

The living rooms cheerfully explore soccer parents, jargon, violent ballerinas, and some of Patrick Swayze's best work.

APOLOGIES: Philosophy (yes... all of it), ballet, Olympics, reality cooking shows, medical personnel, Plato, youth soccer, announcers, France, Italy, alternative restauranteurs, perpetually tardy people (YKWYA), and of course, Max Headroom.

As always, rabbitHOLE is unscripted and inspired by the CREW's real-life rabbit hole adventures.

  • Your Spotify Year | D.J. Granny | 80 is the New 25 | Leisure Suit Larry
    Mar 13 2025

Welcome back to SEASON TWO and our 12th Episode of rabbitHOLE. We are told publishing 12 episodes is a big deal and we're running with it!

    Today's Holes:

    • Your Spotify Year
    • D.J. Granny
    • 80 is the New 25
    • Leisure Suit Larry

Yeuhan outs a colleague who tried to pass off his family's listening hours as his own. She also might highlight the dark side of Slack channel chats.

You will love the episode's numerous senior citizen heavy metal fans. If D.J. Granny is good enough for Ted Dansen, she should be good enough for you.

Obscure bands aren't the only ones to have their coffee house communities and curated playlists. The youthful grannies are making a killing putting music snobs (like Flannery) out of business.

How fun is it to listen to Amber and Luke geek out over early video games and the clever way they authenticated users?

    Please enjoy!

APOLOGIES: Metallica, Pantera, the AARP, Senior Citizens, Ted Dansen, the United States Postal Service, Lars Ulrich, Werther's Old Fashioned Butterscotch Candies, Hard Candy in General, Candy Warehouses, Elon Musk, DOGE, Space X, Spotify, and many more.

  • Improvised Shakespeare | Waiting for Gal Gadot | Scary Kids' Shows
    Feb 13 2025

Welcome to the second HOLE of SEASON TWO.

    Today's Holes:

    • Improvised Shakespeare
    • Waiting for Godot, Guffman, Lefty, etc.
    • Unintentionally Scary Children's T.V. Shows

BIT player Amber takes us on a journey that opens on Improvised Shakespeare and culminates with Twin Peak's pain and suffering symbol - creamed corn. Who knew?

Flannery confesses her love for Beckett's Waiting for Godot, which triggers Luke to recall a Tempest performance with only three actors. This leads to a slightly morbid tale of Amber's grandmother saying goodbye from her hospice bed but then asking for a tuna fish sandwich.

Finally, Luke tries to convey that the early muppets were very "weird," triggering Thea's memories of a dark and horrifying Norwegian children's T.V. show (Pompel og Pilt) where one puppet never finds the other and meets a broom.

This episode features many celebrity "sightings," including George Lucas, David Lynch, Dale Cooper*, Ross Bryant, Cookie Monster, Kermit the Frog, and the Bard himself!

I can't give it all away here in the notes!

APOLOGIES: Creamed corn, the celebs listed above, Jim Henson and the Muppets (for at least the third time), Kyle Merritt MacLachlan (no relation), Chat Shows, Italy, Norway (sorry, Thea), The Nutcracker, puppets, and Diabetes.

As always, rabbitHOLE is unscripted and inspired by the CREW's real-life rabbit hole adventures.
