About this listen

You are worthy to receive good gifts from your Heavenly Father! You are worthy of love, of goodness, and of healing! Jesus Christ is the ultimate giver of gifts. We have so much available to us to receive in this life! Light, truth, hope, yes even miracles! I am on a quest to become a great receiver! Learn with me as we study, discover, and change the way we are in relation to accepting gifts, and receiving all the good gifts available to us. I love to give gifts. From the time I was a little child I was very conscientious about the process of giving gifts and making others feel really special. I crave it like pickles and ice cream at 8 months pregnant. My gift budget is always over the limit and I look for little ways to surprise and delight people when they are not expecting it. I love anonymous giving especially. I imagine that our Heavenly Father is like this. He delights to give us good gifts. He is ready to shower us with blessings. But..... We are tricky humans. We tend to think we don’t deserve them. Maybe we have to make them ourselves, and wrap them too. Oh, and buy them. Why are we so slow to receive? ”But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 ”Nevertheless, they shall return again to their own place, to enjoy that which they are willing to receive, because they were not willing to enjoy that which they might have received.” Doctrine and Covenants 88:32 Let the quest begin! My mission is to help as many humans as I can join the quest to receive ALL that God is willing to grant us! Every day, every minute, every moment. For like one of my favorite mentors ever said: ”Moments are the molecules that make up eternity!” (yes he did use an exclamation point!) Neal A. Maxwell I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. I am starting this podcast as a way to help myself and others come unto Christ and to learn to RECEIVE all the good gifts available to us! My disclaimer is from another mentor of mine, Dieter F. Uchtdorf: ”You will find that this church is filled with some of the finest people this world has to offer. They are welcoming, loving, kind, and sincere. They are hardworking, willing to sacrifice, and even heroic at times. And they are also painfully imperfect. They make mistakes. From time to time they say things they shouldn’t. They do things they wished they hadn’t. But they do have this in common--they want to improve and draw closer to the Lord, our Savior, even Jesus Christ. They are trying to get it right. They believe. They love. They do. They want to become less selfish, more compassionate, more refined, more like Jesus.” Thank you for taking a chance on me. I hope you find value here. I love you already. Email me at: wardlea15@gmail.com with your stories, your ideas, your critiques and your questions!Copyright 2023 All rights reserved. • 17. The Power of the Word: what I learned from having kidney stones
    Oct 19 2024

Slow and behold, here is my next episode..haha. Listen in as I share what I learned from my experience with kidney stones. They are from the devil. And I really would never wish them on anyone. Drink water folks! Don't get physically dehydrated, but more importantly, how can you stay spiritually hydrated! I have embarked on a quest to do better in 1 specific area in my life.

I mention the Doctrine of Christ in this episode. I want to point out that I failed to mention the one aspect of that Doctrine which is the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Perhaps that is a lesson for me. But Faith, repentance, baptism, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring the end, along with living a life of covenant keeping will bless us as we find our way home. Jesus Christ is the Light and the Life of the world. If we follow Him we can be at peace.

Please enjoy reading the talks I reference! They are all excellent and full of wisdom and hope!

I had to add this amazing talk by President Eyring just a few weeks ago that he gave in General Conference! I was able to listen to this talk in the conference center and it was given a few days after I recorded this episode! I was so pierced by his message and it was in line with the personal revelation I have received and I am excited to share more about this talk in other episodes. Conference was SO good! Can't wait to dig deep!
