  • Episode 15: Camille French - Olympic Marathon Runner
    Aug 12 2025

    MARATHON MAMA

Camille French, formerly Camille Buscomb had her sights set on a postpartum comeback of mammoth proportions. Knowing after her 5k and 10k races in Tokyo, that she wanted to start her family, she also set a goal of going to the Olympics in Paris for the Marathon.

This Mama experienced what many Mama's do, the SLOG to exercise after a sudden change of pace once the baby arrives and riding on the excuses of sleep deprivation and overall fatigue. All of this preventing her from being her best physical self. With an EPIC support team to help guide her to remember her own potential, she set out to training. From there, the mentality was overcome and she was pumping out kilometers faster than what I am sure most of us could even IMAGINE running prior to having kids.

Cue a successful trip to Spain and she was on her way to being an Olympian all over again!

Jump into this episode to see how this Marathon Mama made her dreams come true... and what she has planned next with baby number 2 along for the ride.

  • Episode 13: Tiana Ngawati-Anderson - Rugby Referee
    Jul 15 2025

    RUGBY PLAYER TURNED INTERNATIONAL REFEREE

When one chapter closes, this Mum opened another in a whole new province that ended opening up opportunities she took with open arms. Tiana Ngawati-Anderson is one determined Mama. Carving her way through the refereeing landscape being true to herself and her way of doing things, she found strength in the unthinkable then smashed her own glass ceiling. Now carving up on the World 7's Series, she is unearthing more of what she is capable of.

Her humble beginnings in club rugby in Auckland led her (through opportunities for her strength and conditioning coach husband) to BOP where she picked up the whistle, because committing to team trainings was time consuming in the eyes of motherhood. Refereeing means that this Mama can put her work rate to the test in her own time and has proven to be beneficial in achieving her wildest dreams. Jump in and enjoy a longer chat with me and my refereeing pal.

As always, I cannot do these episodes without my sidekick sponsors!
