  • Are you a Mother with a neurodiverse child?
    Apr 2 2024

This chat is with Mum - Natasha Louise Middleton, who has two neurodiverse children and here we gain a deeper understanding as to why it may be particularly important to focus on the Mums and their parenting journey.

Natasha says that with all the planning and reading of what it's like to be a parent with a neurodiverse child you may as well throw out the rule book as this will require you to adapt.

Natasha has written two e-books offering 'doable' self-care!

She connects the 'woo' with the 'science' and shows that if we explore our spirituality rather than parking it away somewhere we may just uncover a sense of ease within ourselves and our children.

Another tip is the art of laughter in a present moment to shift away from a negative narrative! Plus, she shares the 'ripple effect' between Mother and child in every direction.

    Book recommendation:

Scattered Minds by Dr Gabor Maté (Natasha and I had many similarities, and we were even reading this book at the same time!)

Reframing is a skill Natasha has practiced through powerful words such as; "Everything is working out in my favour. Everything is working for me." helps her to anchor herself.

I loved Natasha's response to my final question Q: "how will someone know they are ready to wotrk with you?"

  • Can you spot a narcissist?
    Oct 17 2023

We begin with interpretation and both a powerful and recent story that acts as a clear example that will have you left with a deeper understanding of narcissism.

Paula studied here https://barbarabrennan.com/ while some choose to do the training as self-development, Paula chose to become a healer and help others.

The enlightening parts are many in this conversation on where wisdom can come from in your body, how to spot narcissistic behaviour and why it causes confusion plus, beautiful wise ways to reconnect with the world and yourself.

    Books

When the body says no by Gabor Mate - we both had this book within arms reach!

Living Untethered by Michael A. Stringer, the follow up from Untethered Soul

  • Connect to life in a new way
    Sep 2 2023

Dr Magdalena Baciu invites us to connect with who we are with kindness, with love, and with respect to be ourselves and aware of our gifts "You cannot force a rose to open when you want it to" says Magdalena. Showing that going slower is the way, though is it our perception that it's slow?

Magdalena discusses the space between birth and passing away, and to find grace in challenging moments.

We dabble a little in two topics that I've expanded upon with other women which you may wish to tune into. The titles for those are 'Is it important to gather wisdom?' and 'can we switch careers?' plus, my own reflections with 'Must we always have a job title?'

Magdalena has faced an incredible amount of challenges, facing them with grace and by observing them through the lens of her scientific thinking stating that 'we can only heal ourselves!' We discuss her journey with Lymes Disease, OCD, Anxiety, Bullying to name a few.

Magdalena coaches people to marry up alchemy and vision, with creation from the linear of survival and materialistic approaches to explore a new map that actually connects it all up!

CEO's are Magdalena's favourite clients as they go on to influence so many others! Their speeches need a 'lift of the heart' she expresses.

Magdalena sees 3 obstacles we journey through those that come from within, those that come from outside ourselves, and finally those that are out of our control, listen and explore with us!

Her favourite books are filled with poetry as she sees a new point of view through verse, and like me has 4 or 5 books on the go at a time!

A generous gift from Magdalena is that all WWSBF podcast listeners are welcomed for a clarity call with her, something I myself have experienced, creating strong turning points. Email the request to drmagdalenabaciu@gmail.com

Connect with Magdalena via instagram @magdalenabaciu where you will also have access to her Link Tree with posts and meditations linktr.ee/magdalenabaciu

  • Do you know how to be free?
    Jul 18 2023

If you need a firecracker of a conversation to spark something within you to be free in the world then this may just be the kickstarter conversation you need to hear!

Let's start with the word 'freedom' what does it mean to you? For Jackie she had transitioned from 'doer' to 'being'. Her first birth led to an awakening, along with being told that she couldn't go home despite working long hours and was simply exhausted! I loved how grounded Jackie's expression of this word was.

We move to manifestation which moves on to be described as visualisation, to creative, reflective, conscious, and subconscious writing to knowing!

Jackie dances between Yogic philosophy blended with Western understandings which is a beautiful way to bring explanations alive.

Crippling Insomnia was the turning point from a career in TV to Yoga, where she navigated her Yoga career alongside her children's development starting with Baby Yoga, Teen Yoga, Neurodiverse Yoga, Zen Mumma,.

Jackie shares the journey to become a CIC, the newer and sustainable version of a not-for-profit organisation to bring Yoga to communities in an affordable way as we need to step away from this current 'age of anxiety'.

'We need to move' is a call to action Jackie urges us all to tune into, bringing to life that sixth sense of Proprioception. There's another call for education to change 'it is no longer fit for purpose' we are trying to force all children to follow the same route, it's not working!

There's some open dialogue between Jackie and I around the topic of neurodivergence, and not being heard.

'Turn my face to the sunshine' are the words that anchor Jackie.

Books: Jackie studies Yoga so reads many texts for this but a favourite read is The Doors Of Perception by Aldous Huxley - a series of essays. A Stroke Of Insight by Jill Bolte-Taylor and The Life Of Pi are other recommendations.

Two of Jackie's focuses are on maternity services and wellbeing in schools - join her on the mission!

  • How to find where you belong
    May 30 2023
Natalie LeFebvre was born in Zimbabwe, raised as a child in South Africa, spending most of her adulthood in the UK, and now residing in Portugal yet describes herself as a nomad, who's home is within - it's a really interesting perspective. In your environment you also have to be connected with the right people and it might surprise you and encourage you to seek out people who challenge you so that you can come to know your 'whole' self.
Natalie describes energy as Good Father and Good Mother, as a way to remove any toxicity from masculine and feminine energies, relating them to our 'home' and places.
Nelson Mandela's words and actions have greatly influenced Natalie's clear humanitarian ways that come so naturally to her.
She has written a book on a true story that she feels needs to be heard, one she said she would always write on the beauty of the human spirit. Sharing a family's story from Zambia and how they chose to transition what could've been potential hatred into compassion.
Natalie has also ventured into a new business - Settle In; where she helps people find homes, and on the top of her list for everyone is that it must hold a quiet space where you can BE in your own company.
Her 3 tips to self-care are 1) Yoga 2) Nature and 3) To have something to care about.
    Book Recommendations
The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron where a phrase 'jump and the net will appear' has remained with her for years.
