Ryan Ciecwisz joins the pod to talk about his love of Adam Sandler, pretentious film, New Jersey roots, first time doing standup in a library, and more!

I've known Ryan for a few years, seen him around the Brooklyn comedy scene and always admired his creativity onstage. Seeing the amount of things we have in common, from our recent breakups, past lives as film majors, current occupation as barista and our love of Bob Dylan, it's shocking we haven't become better friends. Please enjoy this audio record of the longest conversation we've ever had without mentioning Bob Dylan.

  • Steven Rogers
    Jun 13 2025

Fresh off the release of his new special "Half of We" (YouTube), Steven Rogers joins the pod today to talk about his interesting career. Steve regularly opens for big name comics like Nate Bargatze, Tom Papa, and Brian Regan and tours around the country headlining clubs on his own, but he still chooses to do open mics and bar shows every time he's home in New York City. Why? Simply because he loves comedy and wants to be as good as he can be at it.

Steve and I process our recent breakups together, talk about his comedic influences, why he writes clean, and bond over our own failed attempts at playing the saxophone!

Really enjoyed this conversation and hope you do too!
