    Daniel believes in chicanismo the “Cultural consciousness behind the Chicano Movement” a chicano born in the Sherman Heights barrio of Los Angeles where you had only two things your word and your balls. Daniel came out of high school more Mexican not hispanic and not latino. He joined the brown beret and has been enlisted for 24 years. He curates political, barrio, cultural alters for the community. And, is an expert on the Mexican Holiday, Dios De los Muertos. At a point he ran a magazine dedicated to chicano rap artists like Mr. Knightowl and is a supporter of chicano music and artists. Daniel believes that it is appropriation to dress like a chicano when those styles of clothing were born out of poverty and resistance. He currently photographs and curates political, historical chicano grafitti art. Danial has a belief system a responds from when it comes to the question "What is is Chicano and what is a Chicana."
