Welcome, dear listeners, to Whispers in the Darkwhere shadows tell stories, and the night breathes secrets. I’m your guide through the unknown, your storyteller in the silence, weaving tales that will haunt your thoughts long after the last word fades. Here, we embrace the eerie, the unsettling, the stories that lurk just beyond the edge of the firelight. So settle in, dim the lights… and listen closely. The darkness has something to say.

A off season special episode from Whispers In The Dark Podcast is now here... and it's one that will haunt you long after the final whisper fades.

    ‘The Blackened Guardian’

Eldergrove Park was once a place of sunlight and laughter until the woman on the bench appeared. Wrapped in a tattered coat and green scarf, “Mad Maggie” whispered only to the empty space beside her. Those who mocked her met grotesque, inexplicable deaths, marked by scorched earth and black, clawed hoofprints.

Emily, a skeptical student, dismissed the stories as local superstition until a cycling accident left her staring at the truth: Maggie was never alone. A hulking, horned figure sat beside her, shadows clinging to its skin, its molten eyes fixed on nothing and everything.

When Maggie dies, the presence doesn’t vanish. It lingers. Watching Emily. Whispering to her. Testing her. Death follows in its wake, each more brutal than the last. And soon Emily finds herself drawn back to the bench day after day speaking to someone no one else can see.

The locals keep their distance. Most don’t even look at her. But sometimes, someone makes the mistake of laughing.

And that’s when the whispers start again.

  • ‘The Hollow Howl’
    Jul 11 2025

Welcome, dear listeners, to Whispers in the Dark—where shadows tell stories, and the night breathes secrets.

The final tenth sinister tale from Whispers In The Dark Podcast is now here... and it's one that will haunt you long after the final whisper fades.

    ‘The Hollow Howl’

Newly divorced and disillusioned with city life, folklore scholar Maggie Ellis retreats to a remote Welsh cottage, Bryn Derw, to seek solitude and finish the book she’s long feared to write—Shadowed Land: The Forgotten Folklore of the Celtic Dead. But the isolation she craves soon gives way to something far more harrowing.

Nestled at the edge of an ancient forest, Bryn Derw seems to hum with the weight of the past. As Maggie settles in, the boundary between myth and reality begins to blur. A mournful howl haunts the mist-thick nights. Locals speak in hushed tones of the Ci’r Nos—the Dog of the Night, a spectral predator said to walk the borders between worlds, watching, waiting.

What begins as eerie disturbance deepens into a waking nightmare. As Maggie unearths chilling truths buried beneath Bryn Derw—bones, lost names, and the hollow road of legend—she realizes she has not merely stumbled into old folklore. She has become part of it. With each nightfall, the hollow calls her closer, and escape grows ever more impossible.
