• Making Big Decisions | Romans15:14-33 | Welcome Church, Woking
    Aug 17 2025
We had the joy of listening to Larey as he continued our Romans series in chapter 15. He walked us through Paul’s reflections on ministry and future plans, using them to help us think about making big decisions in our own lives. Larey encouraged us to know our calling and purpose in Christ, to make ambitious plans in partnership with Him, and to invite others to pray with us while trusting God’s providence. He reminded us that while our plans may shift, what matters most is living faithfully in step with Jesus.

We’re thrilled to welcome our new Associate Pastor, Stephen Dawson, as he brings this week’s message from Romans 12:9–21. What does real love look like in a divided world? God calls us, by his grace, to love sincerely, hate what’s evil, and hold tight to what’s good.

Christopher continued our Romans series in 12:3–8, challenging us to think rightly about ourselves in light of God’s grace. Our gifts are given by God, not earned, and every person has a part to play. We belong to one body, with different gifts, and we’re called to use them in love.

  • A Generous Heart | A Generous Life | Welcome Church, Woking
    Jul 6 2025
Steve concluded our series 'A Generous Life'. Looking at the example of the widow's offering in Mark 12:41-44. Steve reminded us that generosity isn't about how much we have, but about our heart's posture—it reveals what we truly trust and can become like a god to us. There is a journey of generosity that starts wherever we are and moves us toward extravagant giving, emphasising that generous giving is voluntary, sacrificial, and empowered by the Holy Spirit as a spiritual discipline we can grow in over time.

  • A Generous Church | A Generous Life | Welcome Church, Woking
    Jun 29 2025

Steve continued our A Generous Life series by reminding us that generosity is central to the life of God’s Church. In Acts, the early church was marked by joyful, sacrificial giving that pointed people to Jesus.

We’re invited to be that kind of church today—not just a crowd that gathers, but a family that gives. A church that lives for mission, not just maintenance. When we give, we reflect the heart of our generous God and bring hope to the world around us.
