Dr. Michael Aguirre is an Assistant Professor within the Department of History, here at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a historian of the United States, Mexican-American and Latina/o/x history, and the U.S.-México Borderlands. Dr. Aguirre shares an abbreviated history of the U.S./México Borderlands and several of the U.S. Government policies that have impacted immigrants, primarily from Central America, México and South America. He also reflects on his experiences living and traveling between the U.S./México Border.
