Tyra wurde 1997 in Bremen geboren. Ihre Mutter kommt aus Kenia, ihr Vater wurde in Deutschland geboren, aber dessen Vater stammt aus dem Senegal.
Sie wurde in Schwachhausen geboren und ging hier in den Kindergarten und in die Schule. Später zog sie in die Neustadt und ging in die Schule am Leibnizplatz, wo der Ausländeranteil deutlich höher war als in Schwachhausen.
Tyras Mutter hat sie auf keine Religion festgelegt, sodass Tyra sich über jede Religion frei informieren konnte. Nach der Mittelschule am Leibnizplatz wechselte Tyra an die 'Wilhelm Wagenfeld Schule', wo sie ihr Fachabitur im Bereich Kunst und Design macht. Ihr Ziel ist es Bühnenbildnerin zu werden.
