Support the ShowTranscript: Good afternoon, everyone. Today is August 19, 2025. Here are the stories we’re praying about today: 1. On August 15, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced the arrest of a woman who traveled from New York to Washington, D.C., for allegedly plotting to assassinate President Donald Trump. The suspect, identified as "nath.jones" on social media, posted threats calling Trump a "terrorist" and "Nazi," blaming him for Covid-19 deaths, according to authorities. U.S. Secret Service agents intercepted her, and she now faces federal charges for threatening the president’s life.2. President Trump, in a Tuesday "Fox & Friends" interview, firmly ruled out deploying U.S. troops to Ukraine as part of security guarantees, emphasizing no "American boots on the ground." He expressed a commitment to preventing casualties and suggested potential air protection support. Trump’s stance reflects his broader aim to limit U.S. military involvement abroad while addressing Ukraine’s ongoing conflict.3. High home prices and economic uncertainty led to the slowest July housing market in a decade, with homes staying on the market for an average of 43 days, up from 35 days last year, per Redfin data. The prolonged time reflects buyer hesitation amid financial pressures.4. Devastating floods in northwest Pakistan have left over 150 people missing, with 194 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 390, including 288 men, 59 children, and 43 women. The ongoing crisis highlights the severe impact of extreme weather on the region. Rescue efforts continue to locate survivors amidst widespread destruction.5. Hurricane Erin is generating dangerous rip currents and high surf along the U.S. East Coast, with destructive waves and storm surge expected to soon hit North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The Atlantic hurricane season is intensifying, with potential for another named storm to follow. Coastal communities are bracing for significant impacts from these life-threatening conditions. So let’s pray…Thank you for listening to News on Knees, a community prayer podcast by Story King Media.
