The church at Thyatira was lured away by a group of people, typified by Jezebel of the Old Testament. They appointed themselves as the “oracles of God” and perverted the true message, luring people away from fidelity towards God to something that is offered and acceptable in the world, but not to God. Small churches will always face the same danger. This is why we must heed the warning and grab hold of the promise: those who overcome will be given the morning star Himself, Jesus Christ, and power over the nations. VF-2044 Revelation 2:18-29
