Theresa wurde 1978 in Tamale geboren. Da ihre Mutter viel arbeiten musste, holten die Großeltern Theresa nach Sefwi Bekwai, wo sie mit ihren Großeltern die nächsten 8 Jahre zusammenlebte. Theresa ging in Sefwi Bekwai von der Grundschule bis zur Realschule. Nach der Realschule ist Theresa wieder zu ihrem Vater nach Tamale umgezogen, wo sie das Gymnasium angeschlossen hat.
2001 kam Theresa nach Deutschland, um die hiesige Kultur kennenzulernen. Sie lernte einen Mann kennen, den sie heiratete und von dem sie drei Kinder bekam. 2009 trennten sich Theresa und ihr Mann. Nach dem Abschluss des ersten Sprachkurs folgte ein zweiter und dann machte Theresa ein Praktikum beim Kulturladen Huchting.
Heute hat Theresa es geschafft: Sie hat einen Job.
