We FINALLY meet *the most beautiful man* Feyre’s ever seen and we get lots of interesting lore and conversation around Calanmai. For this ep, we did two chapters because who the hell wants to wait a week to talk to this man?? We talked lots about Rhys and his mental state knowing what we know as well as the ways he may be steering the conversation or even listening to her thoughts? With those things in consideration, this part because even more interesting. We also have lots of fun questions about the world and how it works! It says all High Lords need to do Calanmai but do they actually? Is Tamlin becoming symbolically nameless during Calanmai–and what in the symbolism is with the white stag of Terrasen being sacrificed?! Does Rhys tamper with Tamlin’s glamour on accident? What if the High Lords decided not to replenish the magic of the land (could this have helped them with a coup against Amarantha?) Is Calanmai the holiday for mating bonds? Also, what is Lucien feeling when he gives Feyre her talking to (is it Rhys watching them after following them to the manor?). We also go on lots of wild tangents about the bite and Tamlin’s authoritarian attitude towards Feyre when he gets back after Calanmai. https://linktr.ee/bookbreathingbtchqueensIntro/Closing Music Credit: Indie-Pop by Ivan LuzanFind the song here: https://pixabay.com/music/indie-pop-indie-pop-170731/Find Ivan Luzan here: https://pixabay.com/users/ivan_luzan-34614814/Episode Overview: 00:00–Intro song, episode intro and summary/overall thoughts (and discussion of how this goes for Rhys knowing what we know about Rhys!)03:47–chasing shadows & Feyre just knowing exactly what the Attor looked like despite not ever seeing it07:35–Did the glamour also wear off on Elain and she just didn’t tell anyone?10:52–the drums and faerie music16:20–Rhys is the one who pulls her to Calanmai!17:51–Lucien gets his fire from Aelin?
