Atheer Yacoub is a Brooklyn-based comedian and writer, who has performed across the U.S. on stage and on screen. Her half-hour stand-up special premiered on Comedy Central Arabia in 2018, and was broadcast for a global, multilingual audience across the Middle East. She’s been featured on AXSTV’s Gotham Comedy Live, at SF Sketchfest, at The Boston Comedy Festival and many more. Atheer also served as a staff writer for sketch shows like The Breakdown and Passport Control on Brooklyn’s Emmy award-winning network BRIC TV. She is also the co-creator and co-host of the critically-acclaimed sketch comedy show, Muslim Girls DTF: Discuss Their Faith, on FUSE TV, which has won numerous awards including Series Fest Best: Independent Comedy Writing, Yes And…Laughter Lab competition, and The Pop Culture Collaborative’s Becoming America Fund.
