In Daniel Chapter 7 we were introduced to the rise of the Bold Pretender—the Little Horn power in its Papal roots, and his war against the saints of God by persecuting them and thinking to change the times and laws of God. The same Little Horn in its pagan and papal roots is revealed in more detail in chapter 8, who has become The Desolater that "waxed exceeding great," whose blasphemies reach unto heaven, to the Prince of princes, to destroy the daily.
