Blake is a Master’s graduate from the College of Agriculture, University of Saskatchewan and the Agriculture Research chair at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Blake has expertise in nutrient interactions in the soil-water-plant system, precision management of saline soils, applied data management, agronomic evaluation of fertilizers and amendments. With a deep-rooted passion for innovation and a relentless drive for excellence, Blake spearheads groundbreaking research initiatives that push the boundaries of agricultural technology and education.

David Rourke is an Adjunct Professor for the Russ Edwards School of Agriculture & Environment at Assiniboine College. He has consistently chosen the path less traveled, forging new frontiers in farming. David's curiosity led him to pursue a Master's degree in Agricultural Plant Science. In 1980, he and his wife embarked on a venture, leasing 300 acres of farmland. From this beginning, the Rourke family farms now spans 6000 acres, nestled just south of Brandon, Manitoba.

Mary-Jane Orr is the General Manager for Manitoba Beef & Forage Initiatives Inc where she leads a dedicated team to advance Manitoba beef and forage industries through engaging stakeholders, evaluating on-farm innovation, and extension for sustainability of farmers, the public, and the environment! She Joins Brent and they discuss recent research and future goals with cover crops and intercropping.
