• Do you need AA to get sober?
    Feb 5 2026

    Click to watch on YouTube

Today we are diving into why I personally did not do AA. While I believe it's a great option for some people, it wasn't for me. And I actually think the thought of having to attend an AA meeting is part of what kept me from getting sober... I didn't want to sit in a room with other sober people and openly call myself an alcoholic.

So today, I'm explaining why it wasn't for me, and how you can get sober with or without AA. There's no one "right way" to get sober.

  • British vs. American drinking culture
    Jan 29 2026

Is sobriety even a "thing" in the UK? Because I feel that having a drinking problem is so normalized over there -and maybe not even viewed as a problem. This episode explores the differences between American and British drinking culture, drawing from both real statistics and my personal experiences.

If you are British and would like to share your personal drinking experiences or sobriety journey in the UK, please shoot me a message at one of the locations below.

  • Becoming isolated in sobriety | introverts vs. extroverts
    Jan 27 2026

It has come to my attention that I'm not the only one who has kind of isolated in sobriety... and NOT in a bad way. I just genuinely love being by myself, and I value deeper, meaningful connections over hanging out with random acquaintances.

This episode was inspired by a post I saw in our Facebook group :) So if you'd like to join our support group, I'll leave the link below:

  • Days 30-90: the hardest stage of sobriety
    Jan 22 2026

We think that because we survived the first month, everything is going to be smooth sailing from there. But unfortunately for me and many others, it only got harder after 30 days. It's like "real" sobriety sets in, and the high wears off... Emotions hit hard and we have to learn to face our feelings alcohol-free.

In today's episode, I'm giving an insight into what days 30-90 were like for me and what I recommend for surviving this period. You got this!!

  • Why Dry January doesn’t prepare you for long-term sobriety
    Jan 20 2026

Dry January is a break. Sobriety is a commitment. In today’s episode, we’re talking about why the strategies have to change when there’s no finish line in sight, and how to shift from a temporary Dry Jan mindset to an indefinite life of sobriety.

  • "High functioning alcoholic" - jail, death, or sobriety
    Jan 15 2026

If I had stayed on the path I was on, it was going to end one of three ways: jail, death, or sobriety. And I’m so grateful I chose sobriety.

Just because I’d been lucky so far didn’t mean my drinking wasn’t going to catch up with me, it just meant it hadn’t yet. Being high-functioning while drinking heavily isn’t a flex... It’s actually incredibly dangerous.

So today, I want to talk about the myth of the high-functioning drinker -and why ‘nothing bad has happened yet’ is one of the most dangerous lies alcohol tells us.

Hope you find this helpful, and if you have any further questions, feel free to DM me @indiagants :) Fitness and nutrition are my favorite topics! Thanks for listening xx
