We've all known for decades that there seems to be an intentional shift in public education. The methodical decline in student expectations, the increasingly toxic work environment for teachers, the lack of support from parents, and the sad misconception of what is and is not the teacher's job.

Regardless of what has happened, we know that teachers have been the glue to hold it all together but, what happens when our hands are tied and we simply cannot do what is best for the student? The system just pushes them along. The main method being used to do this is lowering the student expectations and making things easier and easier for them.

Is this beneficial for students?
